In four minutes they smacked the living hell out of us in guest visits and that shuts down our sever or at least clogs it up.

how is this for taking my Geritol and getting to posting.

SO, is that a Malicious Attack by a hacker, or a real deal of Multiple consumers using the same web service amongst those IP addresses?

the NE forum has multiple IP blocking capabilities. the problem we run into is that some legit people have the same IP addy as a individual you want to block. Then all they have to do is have an alter.

I bring it up just to keep discussing issues to solve hopefully before they occur to us. I don't believe this was a spammer.

yes vB does have that capability.
but like Goble says, it sometimes encompasses a few users that migth be legit.

that is waht i like about vB, tons of support against both hacers & spammers
